Klobuchar, Amy [D-MN] 202-224-3244 www.klobuchar.senate.gov/ Iowa and America need to preserve our innovators in the computer and digital currency fields. Senate Bill 1241 will only insult and intrude on the honest people, asking them to disclose over $10000 in digital currency. The biggest money launderers are big banks such as HSBC, who have been found guilty of laundering billions, and paid fines of millions, without coming through Customs at an airport. Although Bitcoin was invented in the USA, the innovators are going overseas to "crypto friendly" nations such as Iceland, Japan, Switzerland, and Malta. Iowa citizens are among the world's most literate, and well educated. We can read, think for ourselves, and know ICOs are risky. But most of them cost under $1 per coin. We don't need a nanny. Education on the risks is sufficient. The SEC is using ICOs to build its staff and budget. Many of their officers earn over $250000 per year. They want more to regulate, which increases their staff and salaries. We need to cut down on "nanny" regulations to encourage innovation, business start ups, and make Fairfield, Iowa, and America rich again. https://www.sec.gov/news/testimony/testimony-virtual-currencies-oversight-role-us-securities-and-exchange-commission
