Dear Member,

Bitcoin is the digital currency owned by the majority of members of the Digital Currency Association, and society in general.  DCA Certification Ratings can have an impact on the price of coins.

So, it is with great regret that the Board of Directors, after careful consideration, has voted to change the Certification Rating from A to A-.

This is based on the increasing number of complaints about slowness of transaction times (sometimes hours), and high fees (sometimes $20) which decrease its usefulness in society.

Slow, high fee transactions are not a good first exposure for people new to digital currency.   Fast, inexpensive transactions are a hallmark of digital currency.

This may cause some back lash against the DCA, but we cannot give an A to a coin that is not in keeping with the ideals of Satoshi Nakamoto's white paper, using the name Bitcoin.

The board will monitor Bitcoin Core and take a vote every 30 days regarding BTC's certification rating.

Sincerely,

Rick Shaddock
